{"id":6182,"date":"2012-09-18T16:35:26","date_gmt":"2012-09-18T15:35:26","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/pinkoddy.wordpress.com\/?p=6182"},"modified":"2013-03-03T15:52:52","modified_gmt":"2013-03-03T15:52:52","slug":"r-is-rubbish","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/54.155.211.39\/blog\/2012\/09\/18\/r-is-rubbish\/","title":{"rendered":"R is RUBBISH"},"content":{"rendered":"<p style=\"text-align: center;\">If you&#8217;ve been following our <strong><a href=\"https:\/\/pinkoddy.co.uk\/?page_id=8174\">Letter Learning Journey<\/a><\/strong> you will know that we have come to the<strong> letter R.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">It seemed obvious to do <strong>RUBBISH<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/pinkoddy.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/09\/img_9687.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"img_9687\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/pinkoddy.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/09\/img_9687.jpg?resize=300%2C224\" width=\"300\" height=\"224\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">My children are used to recycling because they know which &#8220;bins&#8221; each products go to (or go for washing up) so I thought we&#8217;d concentrate on<strong> reusing<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">I decided to use some old <strong>rags<\/strong> and make a <strong>letter R Rabbit<\/strong>. Although we thought it looked more like a <strong>Raccoon<\/strong> and their dad thought it was a <strong>rat<\/strong> !!<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/pinkoddy.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/09\/recycledrags.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"recycledrags\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/pinkoddy.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/09\/recycledrags-270x300.jpg?resize=270%2C300\" width=\"270\" height=\"300\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">I also wanted to do something that wasn&#8217;t painting and\/or glueing. I&#8217;m not very good at sewing so thought if I could introduce \u00a0some basics now it would give them a better chance of learning themselves.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/pinkoddy.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/09\/ragstor.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"ragstor\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/pinkoddy.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/09\/ragstor-300x220.jpg?resize=300%2C220\" width=\"300\" height=\"220\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">We took an old vest and drew a letter R on some paper.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/pinkoddy.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/09\/pinned.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"pinned\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/pinkoddy.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/09\/pinned-300x224.jpg?resize=300%2C224\" width=\"300\" height=\"224\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">We then pinned them together so it didn&#8217;t move whilst we cut them out.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/pinkoddy.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/09\/sewingequipment.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"sewingequipment\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/pinkoddy.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/09\/sewingequipment-300x218.jpg?resize=300%2C218\" width=\"300\" height=\"218\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">I explained to him about what things were &#8211; needle, eyes of needle, pin cushion, thimble, cotton, threading.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/pinkoddy.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/09\/threading.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"threading\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/pinkoddy.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/09\/threading-300x264.jpg?resize=300%2C264\" width=\"300\" height=\"264\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">We also used some old buttons for eyes.
