Mix together the butter and sugar in a large bowl with a wooden spoon<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #0000ff; text-align: center;\">2. Add the egg yolk and vanilla &#8211; beating lightly to combine<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #0000ff; text-align: center;\">3. Cut out the circles (good chance to get some maths and speech into the activity here, as you talk about the shape and count how many you can cut out of the mixture).<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #0000ff; text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/pinkoddy.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/06\/cooking.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"cooking\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/pinkoddy.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/06\/cooking-300x224.jpg?resize=300%2C224\" width=\"300\" height=\"224\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #0000ff; text-align: center;\">7. Put on a tray to cook. I use greaseproof paper to stop them sticking and making it easier to wash up. We cooked ours for about 15 minutes at 180 degrees in a fan oven &#8211; but really just until they look cooked (taste testing is always good idea once they&#8217;ve cooled a little).<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #0000ff; text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/pinkoddy.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/06\/washingup.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" alt=\"washingup\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/pinkoddy.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/06\/washingup.jpg?resize=234%2C238\" width=\"234\" height=\"238\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #0000ff; text-align: center;\">8. Decorate with sweets arranged to look like their dad.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #0000ff; text-align: center;\">13. Allow to set and put away until Fathers&#8217; Day.<\/p>\n<p style=\"color: #0000ff; text-align: center;\">14.
