Erm\u00a0no\u00a0not really as a tin is \u00a31.55 and this bottle of wine was half price at \u00a35.49. Probably better for us, tasted nicer and erm lots of lovely wine left over though.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">The <a href=\"http:\/\/www.bbc.co.uk\/food\/recipes\/angelaschickeninwhit_85878\">Original Recipe<\/a><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/pinkoddy.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/chicken_in_white_wine.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-10929\" alt=\"chicken_in_white_wine\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/pinkoddy.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/chicken_in_white_wine-300x224.jpg?resize=300%2C224\" width=\"300\" height=\"224\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/54.155.211.39\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/chicken_in_white_wine.jpg?resize=300%2C224 300w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/54.155.211.39\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/chicken_in_white_wine.jpg?w=482 482w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\" \/><\/a>\u00a0<strong>Ingredients:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">2 packs of chicken breasts<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">1 onion<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">2 carrots<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">2 sticks of celery<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">peppercorns<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">bay leaf<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">2 oz butter<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">2\u00a0oz plain flour<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">1\/2 pint of white wine<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">2 egg yolks (any ideas what to do with my egg white?)<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">6 tbsp double cream<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">pepper<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">parsley<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">pasta and broccoli (to serve with it)<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/pinkoddy.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/chicken_stock.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-10930\" alt=\"chicken_stock\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/pinkoddy.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/chicken_stock-224x300.jpg?resize=224%2C300\" width=\"224\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/54.155.211.39\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/chicken_stock.jpg?resize=224%2C300 224w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/54.155.211.39\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/chicken_stock.jpg?w=360 360w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 224px) 100vw, 224px\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\" \/><\/a>Alternatively use a chicken stock.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Bring a pan of water to the boil containing the chicken, vegetables, peppercorns and bay leaf.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Then simmer for at least 30 minutes &#8211; making sure the chicken is cooked.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Take the chicken out and keep it warm.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\">Strain the water and keep 1 1\/2 pints.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>In a clean pan melt the butter and add the flour to it.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/pinkoddy.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/sauce_flour.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-10931\" alt=\"sauce_flour\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/pinkoddy.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/sauce_flour-224x300.jpg?resize=224%2C300\" width=\"224\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/54.155.211.39\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/sauce_flour.jpg?resize=224%2C300 224w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/54.155.211.39\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/sauce_flour.jpg?w=360 360w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 224px) 100vw, 224px\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\" \/><\/a>Slowly add the chicken stock (either made previously or the strained water) to the flour and butter paste slowly, whilst stirring and making a thick sauce.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Add the white wine and bring to the boil.<\/strong><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/pinkoddy.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/white_wine_sauce.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-medium wp-image-10932\" alt=\"white_wine_sauce\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/pinkoddy.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/white_wine_sauce-224x300.jpg?resize=224%2C300\" width=\"224\" height=\"300\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/54.155.211.39\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/white_wine_sauce.jpg?resize=224%2C300 224w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/54.155.211.39\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/03\/white_wine_sauce.jpg?w=360 360w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 224px) 100vw, 224px\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\" \/><\/a>In a bowl whisk the egg yolk and the double cream together.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><strong>Slowly add the egg\/cream mix to the sauce &#8211;
