The beauty of Mad Monkey is that you can climb safely without any prior\nexperience &#8211; with an automated belay system and both French AND English\nspeaking assistants.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"800\" height=\"1067\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/pinkoddy.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/mad-monkey-montpellier-difficult-level.jpg?resize=800%2C1067\" alt=\"Boy on climbing wall at Mad Monkey Montpellier\" class=\"wp-image-26119\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>We went along to experience the Fun Climb Space\n&#8211; which has climbs up to 7.2m high. There is a variety of different challenges\neach marked with a banana rating of their difficulty; with chronometers, giant punching bag, a transparent\nwall, rotating jacks, raised walls and giant cubes. You can test your own abilities,\nrace against the clock (beating records) &#8211; or others (including face-to face on\nthe transparent wall)! With the team always on hand to help you push yourself to\nyour limits.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"359\" height=\"800\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/pinkoddy.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/mad-monkeys-3d-cubes.jpg?resize=359%2C800\" alt=\"climbing cubes at Mad Monkey Montpellier\" class=\"wp-image-26122\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>You arrive with plenty of time before your one hour session\n(for 10 Euros) and get into your harness well in advanced of your time\nstarting. We were took to one side to have all the rules explained fully in\nEnglish and have any of our questions answered. There are just a few rules &#8211;\nhow to attach the belay system and clip it back afterwards, plus not to walk on\nthe red mats (because it means that someone is using it and could land on your\nhead!) <\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mad Monkey Montpellier was easy to find using our Satnav and\nthere is a clear sign at the entrance. The venue offers free parking, sound and\nair conditioning, a relaxation area and free WiFi access. There is also the availability\nto purchases drinks, snacks and merchandise. <\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"800\" height=\"1067\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/pinkoddy.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2019\/07\/mad-monkey-m-wall.jpg?resize=800%2C1067\" alt=\"M climbing wall at Mad Monkey Montpellier\" class=\"wp-image-26120\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p>We wore trousers and were cool enough with the air con &#8211; but\nthey weren\u2019t necessary and everyone else was wearing shorts. There are tables\nwhere you can leave your things which are in view of the climbing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Mad Monkey Montpellier also offer augmented reality climbing\nand outdoor rock-climbing with workshops in the school holidays.
