If you are lucky you can book a Butlins Sun Holiday for the minimum amount – this means for a four people sharing \u00a39.50 per person off-peak and \u00a315 per person during the summer. We have previously visited Butlins Skegness<\/a> for a long weekend in June for only \u00a315 per person all-inclusive (of entertainment passes and gas\/electric not food) and now we have visited Butlins Minehead on a Monday-Friday break for only \u00a39.50 per person (based on 4 people)<\/p>\n\n\n\n

How to get a Butlins Break from only a total of \u00a338<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

First of all check the individual parks and it will tell you which dates have a guaranteed price and no more. When we did Skegness it meant we could go after school and work and leave late on the Sunday – and at such a bargain price it was worth leaving the park early. This time we booked a midweek break as the boys are home educated<\/a> – but if you don\u2019t mind them missing education even the fines would be worth it at that price!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Things to be aware of on a Bargain Butlins Break<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

Of course the dates aren\u2019t going to be their most popular and that is why they are offering them so cheaply. When we went it was the end of March so not the best weather predicted (although it was actually gorgeous and we ended up in the sea opposite). There was also some planned road works which could have made it difficult to get there – I just followed my SatNav and had no trouble at all.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Also not everything may be open – for us the space bowl\nslide was shut, and obviously the outdoor pool because it was out of season.\nOther than that though there was quite a full programme of entertainment and\nthe fair was open. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

On top of our basic Sun Holiday cost Butlins did add on an extra cost for linen, but I just arranged to have it removed saying that I would take my own – but when we got there they had included the linen anyway!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We were upgraded to silver but we were still really far into the park, away from the entertainment – we didn\u2019t see this as a bad thing though as it meant it was nice and quiet at night. The accommodation was really good and not budget due to the price we paid.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Butlins Minehead on a \u00a338 Sun Holiday<\/h3>\n\n\n\n

On site there is a supermarket, ice-cream\/waffle parlour,\nbars and plenty of places to eat. You can upgrade to eat half-board or if this\nis all too pricey then just down the road, within walking distance are a\nvariety of supermarkets, a McDonalds, a Brewer\u2019s Fayre (where two children have\nunlimited breakfast for free with each adult who has a full breakfast) and many\nshops.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As I previously mentioned there is a sandy beach and the sea literally across the road and there are quite a variety of places to visit nearby too. Later in the year there was also a place that hired things such as SUP boards<\/a> and other adventurous activities, but this was unfortunately not running them as early as the end of March.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

We were happy using the facilities at Butlins, however I do think that a lot of the included entertainment best suits those ages 8 and under and those who are able to queue (mainly for seats in the clubs). There are lots of play areas and at extra cost there is golf, bowling and the high ropes, to name a few.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
