Buildings are going un-repaired and begging letters to parents for money are all too common practice.\u00a0\u00a38.9bn could be slashed from schools budget by 2022 and so the spotlight has been put on manifesto promises for each of the three main political parties &#8211; showing the public the full-scale of possible cuts to local schools in England.<a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/pinkoddy.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/education-cuts.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-23523\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/pinkoddy.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/education-cuts.jpg?resize=1200%2C675\" alt=\"\" width=\"1200\" height=\"675\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/54.155.211.39\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/education-cuts.jpg?w=1920 1920w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/54.155.211.39\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/education-cuts.jpg?resize=300%2C169 300w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/54.155.211.39\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/education-cuts.jpg?resize=768%2C432 768w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/54.155.211.39\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/education-cuts.jpg?resize=1024%2C576 1024w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 1200px) 100vw, 1200px\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #000080\"><strong><u>The Conservative Party Manifesto on Education<\/u><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>This commitment will mean <span style=\"color: #000080\"><strong>\u00a31bn funding<\/strong><\/span> for schools. This would be funded by cutting infant school free meals which were introduced in the last few years, plus other spending commitments. It would then need to pay for the free school breakfast for all primary school children and the introduction of new grammar schools.<\/li>\n<li>In real terms that is a result of an <span style=\"color: #000080\"><strong>\u00a38.9 billion cut<\/strong><\/span> &#8211; by taking into account inflation and growing pupil numbers, between now and 2021\/22.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ff0000\"><strong><u>The Labour Party Manifesto on Education<\/u><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Their commitment will mean <span style=\"color: #ff0000\"><strong>\u00a34.8bn funding<\/strong> <\/span>for schools. This would protect school funding in real terms per pupil, protecting schools against inflation.<\/li>\n<li>An inclusive education for all, closing the gap between children from different backgrounds.<\/li>\n<li>Reduce class sizes for infants to under 30 children.<\/li>\n<li>Introduce free school meals for all primary school children, paid for by removing the VAT exemption on private school fees.<\/li>\n<li>Extend schools-based counselling to all schools to improve children\u2019s mental health, at a cost of \u00a390 million per year.<\/li>\n<li>Restore the Education Maintenance Allowance for 16 to 18-year-olds from lower and middle income backgrounds.<\/li>\n<li>Replace Advanced Learner Loans and upfront course fees with direct funding, making FE courses free at the point of use, including English for Speakers of Other Languages (ESOL) courses.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><span style=\"color: #ffcc00\"><strong><u>The Liberal Democrat Party Manifesto on Education<\/u><\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Their commitment will mean <span style=\"color: #ffcc00\"><strong>\u00a32.2bn funding<\/strong><\/span> for schools.<\/li>\n<li>This would give protection on 2017\/18 funding levels, and would ensure that schools won\u2019t lose in cash terms through the introduction of the National Funding Formula.<\/li>\n<li>Triple the Early Years Pupil Premium to \u00a31000 &#8211; giving children from disadvantaged backgrounds the best start in life.<\/li>\n<li>Protect the Pupil Premium which targets extra help at disadvantaged children.<\/li>\n<li>End the 1% cap on teachers\u2019 pay rises.<\/li>\n<li>Allow parents to take their children on holidays in term time without being fined.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To see exactly how each party would affect the schools and colleges in your area then you can enter your postcode at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.schoolcuts.org.uk\">www.schoolcuts.org.uk<\/a> to get a breakdown of what a Conservative, Labour or Liberal Democrat government would mean for your local children and young people in terms of the individual school\/college budget breakdowns.<a href=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/pinkoddy.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/education.jpg\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-23512\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/pinkoddy.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/education.jpg?resize=800%2C400\" alt=\"Party Political Manifesto Affects on Education\" width=\"800\" height=\"400\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/54.155.211.39\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/education.jpg?w=800 800w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/54.155.211.39\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/education.jpg?resize=300%2C150 300w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/54.155.211.39\/wp-content\/uploads\/2017\/06\/education.jpg?resize=768%2C384 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 800px) 100vw, 800px\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>You can see the two examples here are from my children\u2019s schools.
