It is in fact the thing that helps me get through things. I remember dancing all by myself at 2 years old to the birdie song on the dance floor. Then a love of The Sound of Music whilst my big brother held up my net curtain veil. Throughout my teens it won me many prizes including family holidays. So when I heard that Team Honk wanted us to dance this year to help raise funds for Comic Relief there was no question about it. Next I heard that it was at Wembley and some big names would be there &#8211; I was so excited.<\/p>\n<p>It actually got me to thinking about inspirational people\/dancers and so I asked:<\/p>\n<p><strong>Past or Present who would you most like to dance with?<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>My Nanna, she was the lift and soul of the party. She was always up on the\u00a0dance\u00a0floor and made sure that she&#8217;d had a least one\u00a0dance\u00a0with all her grandchildren &#8211;\u00a0<a href=\"http:\/\/www.polkadotfamily.com\/\">www.polkadotfamily.com<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Johnny (Patrick Swayze) from Dirty\u00a0Dancing\u00a0please!!!!!\u00a0http:\/\/\/<a href=\"http:\/\/www.mummymishaps.co.uk\/\">www.mummymishaps.co.uk<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Ohh I really am not a dancer so I&#8217;d like to\u00a0dance\u00a0with amazing dancers to teach me. Gene Kelly from the past and I&#8217;d wear bobby sox to match him, and a gorgeous 50s dress. Ohh and present James Jordan who reminds me of Wolverine (yum) and I&#8217;d be in a flapper dress learning the Charleston <a href=\"http:\/\/theanamumdiary.co.uk\/\">ttp:\/\/theanamumdiary.co.uk<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Gene Kelly. Or John Travolta.<a href=\"http:\/\/www.domesticgoddesque.com\/\">www.domesticgoddesque.com<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Fred Astaire and in present day may have a little\u00a0dance with Ed Sheeran &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/family-budgeting.co.uk\/\">http:\/\/family-budgeting.co.uk\/<\/a><\/li>\n<li><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignleft size-medium wp-image-18678\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/pinkoddy.co.uk\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/comic-relief-make-up-300x292.jpg?resize=300%2C292\" alt=\"Dance, Comic Relief and Team Honk\" width=\"300\" height=\"292\" srcset=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/54.155.211.39\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/comic-relief-make-up.jpg?resize=300%2C292 300w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/54.155.211.39\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/comic-relief-make-up.jpg?resize=768%2C748 768w, https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/54.155.211.39\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/01\/comic-relief-make-up.jpg?w=800 800w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 300px) 100vw, 300px\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\" \/>From the past (sort of!) John Travolta (in his Grease and Saturday Night Fever days!) and from the present, Vincent Simone because I&#8217;d love to learn the Argentine tango! &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/www.richmondmummy.com\/\">http:\/\/www.richmondmummy.com\/<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Patrick Swayze but only if he gives this baby her space &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/hpmcq.com\/\">http:\/\/hpmcq.com\/<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Freddie Mercury from the past (more of a strut than a\u00a0dance!) and Ashley Banjo now &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/mumofthreeworld.com\/\">http:\/\/mumofthreeworld.com\/<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Smoothie Frank Sinatra from the past and I&#8217;d love a\u00a0dance\u00a0with bad boy Johnnie Depp &#8211; http:\/\/marisworld.co.uk\/<\/li>\n<li>I&#8217;d like to\u00a0dance\u00a0with my husband. The last time we did was at our wedding. Since then he&#8217;s always found an excuse to avoid going on to a\u00a0dance\u00a0floor with me. Quite sad. I love\u00a0dancing. &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/beingmrsc.com\/\">http:\/\/beingmrsc.com\/<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Fearne cotton.Or lady gaga! For the past, Ermm Freddie Mercury &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/anewadditionblog.co.uk\/\">http:\/\/anewadditionblog.co.uk\/<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Adam Garcia from the present and Fred Astaire from the past!! &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/chelseamamma.co.uk\/\">http:\/\/chelseamamma.co.uk\/<\/a><\/li>\n<li>Frank Sinatra. So I can do it my (his) way. The song means a lot to me. And for present. Liv Tyler so I can talk about the films she&#8217;s been in. &#8211; <a href=\"http:\/\/juliesnotebook.co.uk\/\">http:\/\/juliesnotebook.co.uk\/<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>I would really have loved to dance with Michael Jackson and he could have taught me some of his moves. He played such a massive part in influencing how I move. Present I would love to dance with Jessie J. I don\u2019t know there\u2019s just something about her, and I think that she would make me feel better about myself (even though I can\u2019t really dance as well as I\u2019d like to and need to remember my inhaler as I am likely to have an asthma attack!)<\/p>\n<p>If you would like to join in then there\u2019s still time.
